Selling on your site
Buyers pay on your site through Stripe Checkout, into your own Stripe account. You are the seller, and Stripe pays out to your bank. You can sell on every plan.

- What you can sell
- Physical products, shipped to US addresses only. Digital products, which you deliver yourself. And monthly subscriptions. Stripe Tax can add sales tax where you are registered.
- What nith keeps
- nith keeps 5% of each sale on the Free and Site plans, and 3% on Site manager sites. Stripe’s own processing fees are separate, and Stripe sets them.
- Refunds
- You refund a sale in your own Stripe account. If you refund within 30 days of the payment, nith gives back its fee on the amount you refunded. After that, and on disputes, nith keeps its fee.
- In your dashboard
- Under Shop you see every order, press Mark as sent when a parcel goes out, and see refunds and disputes on the order. Your Stripe balance and payouts are there too.
- Emails
- Buyers get an email when they order, when you mark their order as sent, and when you refund it or a subscription is cancelled. You get an email for each new order, and when a refund, a dispute or a cancellation comes in.
Lead alert emails and records
Lead alert emails
The email you get when someone fills in a form on your site. Each person an alert goes to counts as one email, and the count starts again each month.
On Free, 100 a month. After that, new leads are still saved, but no alert email is sent until the next month. On the Site plan and on each Site manager site, 1,000 a month, then $5 per 1,000 on your next invoice. Every alert is sent.
Account, security and order emails never count.

Starbase records
Starbase holds your own collections of things, like a menu, a team or listings, that your pages can show. Each item in a collection is one record.
A free site can hold 250 records, and 10,000 on each paid site. That is a firm limit: when a site is full, you cannot add more until you upgrade or delete some.

Questions
Can I cancel?
Yes. The Free, Site and Site manager plans have no contract, so you can cancel whenever you like. Custom arrangements are different: they come with a contract.
What happens to my site if I stop paying?
If you stop paying, your site goes back to the Free plan.
Can I use a domain I already have?
Yes, on the Site and Site manager plans. nith does not sell domains.
Can I sell on my site?
Yes, on every plan. Buyers pay on your site through Stripe Checkout, into your own Stripe account. You are the seller, and Stripe pays out to your bank.
You can sell physical products (shipped to US addresses only), digital products that you deliver yourself, and monthly subscriptions. Stripe Tax can add sales tax where you are registered.
What does nith charge when I sell?
nith keeps 5% of each sale on the Free and Site plans, and 3% on Site manager sites. Stripe’s own processing fees are separate.
What does Stripe charge?
Stripe sets its own processing fees, and takes them in your Stripe account. They are separate from nith’s fee.
What happens when I refund a sale?
You refund a sale in your own Stripe account. If you refund within 30 days of the payment, nith gives back its fee on the amount you refunded. After that, and on disputes, nith keeps its fee.
What happens when my lead alert emails run out?
On Free, a site can send 100 lead alert emails a month. After that, new leads are still saved on your leads board, but no alert email is sent until the next month.
On the Site plan and on each Site manager site, 1,000 a month, then $5 per 1,000 on your next invoice. Every alert is sent. On a paid plan you can also add a monthly email pack: 2,500 for $10, 5,000 for $18, 10,000 for $30 or 50,000 for $125.

What is a Starbase record?
Starbase holds your own collections of things, like a menu, a team or listings, that your pages can show. Each item in a collection is one record.

What is a Jot credit?
Credits pay for the work Jot does for you, such as drafting a page, a post or a product description, writing the text search engines show, or making an image. Each job uses credits according to how much work it takes.
A free site gets 500 credits to start with, and can run up to 5 Jot tasks a day. On the Site and Site manager plans, credits are added every month and there is no daily limit.
Do plan credits roll over?
No. The Jot credits included with a paid plan each month expire at your next renewal. Credits you buy do not expire.
Do I have to use Jot?
No. Everything Jot does, you can do yourself in the page builder and settings.
